SCCW Show - Winnipeg - Feedback

WRESTLER OF THE NIGHT
1.) Bridden. Huge main event win.
2.) Lane Stevens. All over the card and proving, as always, that he's the best character in the whole hobby.
3.) TK. He didn't have a match but he was all over the card and just made such a good impression on me.

SEGMENT OF THE NIGHT -Sorry I didnt bother to remember the names of the segments.
1.) TK promo for his first appearance on the show. That was just awesome work. The character is creepy, interesting, different, unique. I love it.
2.) Lane Stevens In Ring. I'm a Stevens mark and this was just one of the many good reasons to show why on this card.
3.) Kannon to open the show. Great way to open the show. Mat probably does the best job of coming up with, and writing, the most arrogant entrances for Kannon.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT

Main event was pretty darn good. I thought it was perfectly approperiate for the end of the show.

WAREISM OF THE NIGHT

Ware: Dusk sucks. I know he's not involved here, I just wanted to say it. (Poor Craig)

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT

Lane Stevens: Anyway, what you’re all probably asking yourself is…why on earth would the fine ownership of Sin City Championship Wrestling have loaned us their security force? Another thing you’re asking yourself is why am I fat? But let’s take one question at a time.

It's nothing flashy. It's nothing that a ton of people would look at and go "OMG! TEH AWESOME!" but to me it's what makes the Stevens character so brilliant and lines like this so memorable. He doesn't have to just go way over the top to get a great line in. His placement of remarks is simply perfect and cracks me up. Great job.

Revolution 216 Review

YAY ME! I read a show! WOOOOOO!!!!

Piss off if you're not as excited about that accomplishment as I am.

Feedback:

1. PRIME finally debuts on HBO. The first show was definitely full of fireworks and it didn’t get long to get the party started. Boda, former Universal Champion Boda, came out and poured his heart out explaining what he’s been going through the past 4 years. His speech was short lived and soon found both Brandon Youngblood and Jason Snow in the ring. To everyone’s surprise the two joined forces and formed SOB, Standards of Bastards. When all looked lost for Boda, Change in Spades came to his aid, only to find the giant betray them and join with BY and Snow. Who now can stop these 3 men and what impact will they have on the whole landscape of PRIME?

It's an extremely interesting group of people to have put together and a fantastic way to not only kick off the first show on HBO but to also give Boda a pretty darn huge impact right out of the gates.

I'm a huge Snow fan and a huge Youngblood fan so them joining forces also is very cool but I can't help but think, for a couple of reasons, this will be very short lived. With their title match on the horizon I can't see this working out all that great in the long run and then there is the fact that, for the most part, in PRIME's history the heel stable just never seem to really last very long. It should be entertaining while it does last though.

2. Devin Shakur, the big boss man got put in place by Tyler Rayne who exploited a clause in his contract which grants him similar powers to the on-air authority. He used said authority to deport Devin Shakur. Then he had to be an ass and have Lisa Tyler put on regular clothes instead of the maid outfit, what a dick. Shakur left peacefully, but not before making a huge match between Tyler Rayne and Chandler Tsonda. Shakur is not a man to take abuse like this lying down. How will he seek revenge on Rayne and can The Underground Pimp really match Shakur’s authority and thus be invulnerable to The Man in Black?

Given that I haven’t read nearly enough of PRIME over the last couple of years to know much about the feud between these two I can only imagine that this is just the beginning of some really serious stuff to come between the two of them. I think it’s hilarious how Rayne got the one up here though.

3. A huge match took place in all the madness of ReVolution. The PTC Elite Champion Hessian defended his title against the hottest man in PRIME, Brandon Youngblood. After run ins, cheating, attacks, and overall mayhem The Pariah continued his domination and emerged victorious. How does this affect the main event between Snow and BY? How will The Murder Show recover from his slump in which he’s lost everything that matters to him?

Great win for BY and an outstanding match was used to really set up, even further, the start of this new group. Hessian is slumping a bit but I think I like him even more in this role than I do with him dominating. It’s got a much better feel to it and I think, ultimately, makes him even more dangerous.

4. Some very interesting stories came out of ReVolution. Cyrus Sutherland continuing to seek revenge against Tyler Rayne. Rayne seeking an exit from his upcoming match with Chandler Tsonda. The Osaka Street Cutters making an impressive debut. Gamble seeking vengeance on Shakur. Sloan continuing his abuse towards Hessian and plotting with an unconscious body in his locker room. What are your thoughts regarding these issues?

I don’t have any really good ones, right now, as I don’t really know all the ins and outs of what has began with some of those things. I’ll have to reserve judgment on all but the Street Cutters who I do think had a very impressive debut and should pose a very serious threat the tag team division.

5. Change in Spades are tired of the disrespect. First Nelson and his crew and now the SOB. They sought revenge and seemed to come up with a slight bit of it, but definitely not enough. With the battle lines drawn, but a Universal title match on the line between Snow and BY, how does they supposed beef with Change in Spades tie into everything?

Changes in Spades could, and should, benefit from the upcoming title match between Snow and Youngblood cause it’s going to have to, at some point, start to divide them and that’s where the actual team of Change in Spades can really capitalize. I’d expect to see them use this fact to their advantage and start, fairly soon actually, planting the seeds of doubt in Snow and Youngblood about one another.

PRIMEate of the Night:
1. Brandon Youngblood – This is an easy one. HUGE win for Aaron to get the Elite Championship and I’m very proud to see him win it. Awesome work.

2. Tyler Rayne – He seemed to be all over the show and doing something interesting the whole time.

3. Osaka Street Cutters – I liked their start and I love the name for some reason.

Segment of the Night: A Blast From The Past – No offense to anyone else but this segment really had zero competition for the best segment of the night. It was just head and shoulders better than everything else.

Match of the Night: Elite Championship – The Main event was really cool, no doubt, but this match was just great work.

Other Thoughts:

- I love the SOB team. I think it’s an interesting mix but I’m really most curious to just see how long they’re able to keep it up if there are even any plans for it to last more than a minute.

- I’ve got to say I’m not a fan, at this point anyway, of the move to HBO. It seemed like, to me anyway, that the move was made with the idea of simply being able to throw even more curse words out there just to be throwing them out there.

I don’t get the idea of having a weekly wrestling show on a station that not everyone is going to actually have. Maybe FX is the same way, I don’t know cause it’s a standard cable channel where I live, but HBO is most certainly not standard. You have to pay extra to have that channel and I just don’t get the idea of moving a weekly wrestling show to a channel of that nature. But that’s probably just me being nitpicky.

- I love the Change in Spades team. I think those characters work great together and D has put together year another homerun for himself.

NFL 2009 Season Week 4 Thoughts
Okay, I want a fuckin' Darren Sharper jersey. This guy is unreal. Thanks for the 99-yard interception return for a touchdown. HE DOES THIS EVERY WEEK. FREE AGENCY, BABY!!
What's funny about that is that I so badly wanted Dallas to go after him this offseason and mentioned that on a Cowboys forum and was laughed out of the park because "Sharper is too old and won't make enough plays."

Yeah who looks foolish now? I really wish we'd gotten that guy to play safety for us. Always been a ball hawk and always been a favorite of mine.

Dallas, as usual, sucked in at least one phase of the game. Seriously we never have a game where all 3 play good or great at the same time. Either the offense shows up but the defense doesn't. The defense shows up but the offense doesn't. At least the special teams have showed up every game this year. That's a true positive for us.

Once more with Romo struggling in the second half (What the hell did he drink at half time? In the first half he miss fires on 3 passes in the second half he couldn't have hit the side of a building) and what does Garrett do? Lean on the running game like he should? Why no, of course not, cause that's not what a supposed GENIUS OC does. He just keeps dialing up pass play after pass play after pass play in hopes that he'll just force the darn pass to work. I seriously, more than any other coach in Dallas history, hate that guy. Hate him. He's making me miss the conservative play calling of Bill Parcels and Sean Payton when they were here. At least with their way they would have leaned on the running game when they're supposed to. Garrett is Mike Martz Jr. Completely useless.

I know many will want to blame this on the defense cause of the Marshall play but I just can't. The defense played it's ass off all day long and were hung out to dry by an offense that couldn't do anything after the first quarter and the only other time Denver even got close to scoring a TD in the game was when our offense set them up nicely at about the 10 yard line with a fumble. Otherwise our D played lights out. I heard all week by Bronco fans who came to the Cowboys forum I'm on about how there was no way at all that we'd ever sack Orton cause the Broncos have by far the best O-Line in football. Well last I looked we got 3 or 4 sacks on the day and Ware should have had his first of the year if not for a stupid play by Spencer of grabbing hold of a face mask. Way to go Spence. They only teach that all the way back in grade school not to put your hand on the facemask while tackling awesome job.

Outside of a couple of runs their vaunted run didn't eat us up either which I was told all week would happen. Defense pretty much laid it out there and did everything they could. If only the offense could have helped out a bit. Oh well. I said earlier in the week that Denver was a tougher game than most Cowboys fans were giving them credit for and they've proven that. What they do over the next 4 ball games will make or break their season. I think they go 2-2 over the next four (very tough stretch for the Broncos) but for them to be sitting pretty at 6-2 at the mid point, when most had them at no better than 2-6, will be awesome.

As for Dallas we're essentially going to be boned at this point. We likely won't make the playoffs. In fact I'll call right now that we won't. I hate to say that but we won't. I have seen nothing to indicate that we won't suck in December again, like we have for a decade now, and we've lost 2 early games that we really couldn't afford to lose in order to over come the inevitable December slide.

We'll be lucky, and I do mean very lucky, if we have 10 wins this year. 8-8 is likely staring us right in the face at this point.

Jets were brought back to earth a bit this weekend. Sanchez has been great but he finally had his rookie game. Welcome to the NFL kid. It's not all sunshine and rainbows.

Saints might very well be the absolute best team in football. Their only competition, at this point, is the New York Giants. Seriously. Anyone whose over looked what the GMen are doing with about 3/4 of their starting secondary out are really sleeping on a darn good football team. Eli Manning is playing like his brother, Steve Smith is playing like he switched bodies with the other Steve Smith, and their offensive line is the best in football, IMO. I won't be shocked if they win it all again this year. They're that good. Saints will be their only serious threat in the NFC.

Which is nothing against the Eagles or Niners or Bears but right now, as it stands 4 weeks in, it's a two horse race in the NFC. Saints and Giants.

Speaking of the Bears. HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! All you Jay Cutler haters who were ready to proclaim him the second coming of Brad Johnson after week one. HA! HA! HA! HA! The guy still not look like a franchise QB to you? Huh? I mean whose his recievers again? Who are they? Devin Hester (who people only know cause of KR and PR) and who? Yeah, exactly. The dude is a beast of a QB and he's proven he didn't need Shannahan or Marshall or Eddie Royal to be that guy. Yeah, that guy, he's made the Bears a serious threat.

The Niners have looked pretty darn good and it's got a lot to do with their defense but I'm not quite ready to proclaim them playoff ready or the return to glory like Max and some. They've just completed the softest part of their schedule and this middle run, through the end of November, is not going to be a very easy one. There are some in there that right now will look like easy games, given their teams records, but the next 8 weeks for them is going to be tough. They could easily wind up 4-4 over the next 8 games. Easily.

I'd like to also take a moment to once again proclaim my love of Phillip Rivers. I've been saying for a couple of years now that he's the one young QB out there who I'd trade Romo for in a heartbeat. Of course everyone would trade their starter for Peyton, Brady, or Brees, those guys are givens, but out of the young QBs out there (Eli, Big Ben, Phillip, Flacco, Ryan, etc) Phillip is the one guy I'd give anything to have instead of Romo.

The dude is just flat a winner and a competitor. Down 28-0 last night going into the 4th and this guy, and Gates, just absolutely refused to give up. Willed his team back into that game (with a nice assist from the special teams) and had his defense been able to stop anyone, at all, on Pittsburgh last night they might very well have completed an improbably comeback. Phillip Rivers is the real deal. Love that kid.

Speaking of that...what about that dang draft class? Rivers, Eli, and Big Ben? Holy crap. That's the mother load of QB talent apparently that year.

Which, speaking of Big Ben, is there a harder QB in the league to friggen sack in the 4th quarter? That dude just seems to pull a rabbit out of his hat in the face of a pass rush every single week in the 4th quarter. It's sickening.

Tony Romo, you're my boy, and I love ya. But you need to start taking notes. River, Big Ben...these are guys who get it done in the clutch. Perhaps you could learn a thing or two from them.

Though, let me back track to Dallas here a minute, I don't put that final drive on Romo. I just don't. He did his job. He got them into scoring position. Then, as usual, his OC, that genius as I'm told, calls two consecutive plays where Hurd is the #1, quick option, against Champ Bailey. The fact that Garrett still had a job long enough to get a plane ride back to Dallas last night pisses me off. That would have been the time Garrett to be calling a look for Witten or Bennett or possibly even fooling the defense on the first play with a Barber run right up the gut. But you don't throw two slants to Hurd on Champ Bailey. Again I said that is Champ Bailey out there covering your 4th best WR.

Oh which reminds me. While I don't have any ill will on the Roy Williams trade, cause I happen to like the guy and I do believe that he's shown some serious promise, Roy you're a pansy. Seriously. A pansy. The game is on the line. Get your butt in there. Now I understand you took a shot. I understand you were hurting. I understand you have asthme and the altitude and all that stuff. But get in there. You don't even have to catch the ball. They don't have to make you the option on the play. But you've got to be in there. Have to be. Hands down have to be in the game.

i wasn't as upset about that, at first, until I read after the game that he didn't have any broken or bruised ribs he just couldn't catch his breath cause of the altitude and the fact that he has asthme. Sorry bro but they pay you 45 million dollars to be a leader and to be on the field in that situation. Jimmy Johnson can direct you to the asthme field if necassary.

Let's see...what else about this weekends football....

Oh yeah. This just in. That Peyton Manning cat. Yeah he's still pretty great.

Oh and that Tom Brady fellow? Yeah. Still great.

People are waiting for all these super flashy stats and blah blah blah. But lets recall this. He's been out for a year with a knee injury that generally takes a good year and a half to recover from entirely. He's play 4 games, the team is 3-1, and in that 4 game mix have played a couple of really great defenses in Baltimore and New York and a pretty darn solid Atlanta team. So, yeah, the dude still can get it done. They'll be dangerous at years end.

Which brings you to whose the real who in the AFC. Baltimore seems pretty darn legit. Patriots obviously are. Colts are going to be there as always. Cincy looks like they might actually have something this year. Denver is looking solid, though like I said that's a tough 4 game stretch they've got coming up. Steelers, much as I hate them, aren't quite out of it yet. Chargers are still in the thick of things.

That's a stacked division of talented teams over there. While I think the NFC is pretty much a two horse race at this point (and of course that could easily change. It's still very early) I think at this juncture in the season the AFC is about an 8 team race to be quite honest. Any one of about 8 teams could jump up and take it home for the AFC.

Pretty dang exciting football season, all around, even with Dallas playing like crap and managing a piss poor 2-2 record in September. That wouldn't bother me so much if I had faith that the slower start to the season would mean a killer 4-0 run in December but, like I said, I haven't seen anything to suggest such a thing would happen and it would mean running the gauntlet of the whose who of the NFL in December.

Oh and for Washington fans. Fire Jim Zorn. Seriously. Go to Snyders office and make him get rid of him. That guy is, by far, the worst play caller in the history of play callers. I know you're 2-2, which is nice, but you should easily be 3-1. His play calling is horrific. The only guy who I wouldn't take over Jason Garrett in the entire league.

Oh and finally the huge shocks this season to me.

What the heck happened to the Titans? Did big, fat, Albert mean that much to them? The guy ain't exactly lighting the world on fire in DC and yet the Titans have lost him and suddenly they can't win a friggen game? Of course that secondary that boasted 3 Pro Bowlers last year coming in around 28th in the NFL in pass defense right now isn't helping either. What has happened to Jeff Fishers team? Does anyone else smell a Vince Young return around the corner? Might as well. The Titans are done. At 0-4 there just isn't much of a way that they're going anywhere this year. Especially with so many other teams playing so good in the NFL. Plus I believe the Titans are 0-2 in their own division right now and they've got to play the Colts Sunday night. 0-5 is staring their right in the face and the very real possibility that they'll be 0-3 in their own division. Bad year for them. Really bad.

The Rams. Now I know they're bad. I do. They've been bad every since the Greatest Show on Turf left town. But, come on, how can you be that bad and still be allowed to be an NFL team? I mean yuck. Between them, the Raiders, and the Browns (Sorry Pete) you'd think the NFL was fielding some high school teams out there.

As for the Raiders I knew they'd be bad with Russell. I called it long before he was drafted. During the college season when the comparisons about should he or Quinn be the first QB taken. I said all along Russell would be a complete bust. Of course the other side of that argument, from me, was that Quinn would be a really good Pro QB and that part of my prediction is looking like it is going to be a solid bust as well. But with Russell I knew that one. The guy is a typical 1 year wonder. Much like that dude the Redskins reached on at WR last year, Devin Thomas, these are the kind of guys you don't go for. 1 year wonders. Typically nothing good comes from drafting those types.

Tampa Bay solidly stinks, as I think most expected, and they're fighting for the #1 pick, as I think most expected they would be, but man. Sunday they had a chance to actually win one and they just couldn't close out the deal. Anytime you let Jason Campbell beat you in the 4th quarter, for a come from behind win, you're in trouble.

PRIME Revolution 204 Feedback

1. The tone for ReVolution 204 was set from the very get go when the return of Hoyt Williams drove the crowd into a frenzy (albeit a venom filled one). He took the roster spot of a young man trying to make it in the big leagues in exchange for curing his father from cancer (As only Hoyt can do, right). Not even five minutes later, Lisa Tyler was told that Lindsay Troy would return. Well, someone else returned later in the night, but it wasn't Lindsay Troy. Unfortunately for PRIME fans, it was Brandon Youngblood conning everybody into believing it was The Queen. With the landscape of PRIME changing, how big of an impact are these two capable of having?

These two can have major impacts on the landscape of PRIME. They're both capable handlers who can write very good to great roleplays and they're usually darn good on the in show work as well. I'm quite excited to see these two characters back. I don't know how Troy will feel about having her name used to get the fans into a frenzy, by Youngblood, but I'd imagine she'll have something to say about that once she returns as well.

My only deal here is that with all the returns here I didn't do a better job of making it clear that Cross was making a return to PRIME as well. I had a feeling I'd better write my own match, to get that across, and I didn't and unfortunately I didnt get that information to the writer either so the announcers went through the start of the show acting as if they had no idea who Cross was. I'll use that to my advantage though cause there is nothing else that can be done about it now.

2. That damn midget. Tony Gamble spent the entire night trying to figure out who his Mystery Opponent would be, asking The Redeemed and being kept in the dark until Hessian showed up. The Murder Show seemed to know who the opponent was, particularly because it was him. Gamble lost his mind and asked for Devin Shakur and Christian Daniels to accompany him down to ringside because his boo boo hadn't healed yet. But it appears The Gamble didn't need anybody to roll off what could easily be Upset of the Year, defeating Hessian clean in the middle of the ring. Having gotten two straight victories in a row, is it safe to say The Grin is back? Could he get back to his PPV Main Eventing ways at some point in the near future with the stockpile of talent at the top?

If John is able to comeback and give his full attention to his writing then yes Gamble will be back to his PPV main eventing ways and that is nothing but a great thing for PRIME. I'm really hoping to see Gamble finally get that big time Universal run that I've always believed he was capable of. The win over Hessian only proves, for certain, that he's more than capable of taking anyone and everyone in PRIME at any time.

3. Jason Snow is never shy about coming out and telling everybody how he feels. He told Kansas to go straight to hell and boasted about finding a contender for the belt, only to reveal an old name from the past in Hank. Kaiser Vashaun wasn't too fond of Snow's antics and came out to throw his name into the hat against The Original Villain, but The Next in Line was denied. He left Snow with a little parting gift (Weight of the World), which had Snow irate later in the night when he was searching for Lisa Tyler. He once again stated Vashaun wouldn't get the Championship shot. Can Snow really avoid Vashaun or will someone else try to take the Dual Champion down?

I really don't think he can avoid Vashaun forever and that's going to be yet another epic showdown when they finally do face off. The real question is that unless Vashaun is the guy who bought the title shot then he's not going to be the only person gunning at Snow right now and that could force Vashaun to have to wait behind someone else. I did love the fact that Kaiser isn't going to simply walk away after their fight. I also loved how arrogant that Snow is that he thinks he can just pick and choose his opponents for his title defenses. The second segment of the night for Snow I thought was the best one though with him being all pissed at Tyler.

4. Hessian suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Tony Gamble. If that wasn't enough, he found out who his stalker was at the end of the evening, The Man in Black Devin Shakur. Along with The Grin and Biker, Shakur roughed Hessian up and almost left him for dead. He would have been paralyzed if Chainz didn't come down for the save. The Man in Black also made a declaration earlier in the evening, saying he would not renew his contract which expires at the end of the year. Shakur and Hessian are two of the most macabre forces on the roster, maybe the two most evil. How much carnage will these two cause and how many heads are going to roll before they are done with each other?

I have to admit i was surprise to see Hessian lose and I was even more suprised to see that Shakur was the guy after Hessian. I don't know if he's just that crazy or if he's hoping that he wont actually be able to make it till his contract ends in December. It's quite possible that Hessian will be the one ending Shakur by the time it's all over. With all that is going on for Hessian right now he seems like the last person that Shakur should be attempting to make an example of in his whole injuring everyone he can on his way out idea. I'm not sure how many he'll take with him on his way out but I don't like his odds of doing much to anyone on his way out since he picked Hessian.

5. Jay Phoenix came out and appeared to say goodbye to the PRIME fans. Of course, Jason Natas followed a close step behind and told Phoenix to get steppin. Unfortunately, Phoenix had an ace up his sleeve, a classic trick in the annals of wrestling history. It appears Natas said I Quit two times before Phoenix did. Thus, Natas is out of PRIME. A later segment revealed that Phoenix and Tyler aren't at each other's throats like everybody might have expected. Tyler emphasized that Phoenix doesn't owe her anything. Is there going to be something from this strange little relationship?

That was an interesting way to blow the feud off and not have anyone really guess the outcome. I like the little swerve there by Jay. I do hope that it doesn't actually mean we won't see anymore of Natas in PRIME. That's too good a character to see it be gone and done already. As for Tyler and Phoenix...who knows. She says he doesn't owe her anything now but I wouldn't be surprised if she calls on him for his help as the threat of Nelson and his friends becomes stronger and stronger against her.

Wrestler of the Night: Tony Gamble - How could he not be the Wrestler of the Night after taking down the nearly unstoppable Hessian.

Segment of the Night: Brandon Youngbloods segment. That was a great way to start up his return to PRIME.

Line of the Night:

Richard Parker: Hi, folks, Richard Parker here on behalf of Little Caesars Pizza. Pizza, pizza, motherf**krs.

Overall Thoughts:

I thought this was a very good show. It had a really nice flow from start to finish and I enjoyed pretty much every single part of the show. The segments were all pretty much high quality and the matches were great. I'd like to thank the writer of my match, for sure, as I thought he did a really nice job of getting both guys over. I appreciated it for sure.

Revolution 203 Feedback

ReVolution 203 5 Questions

As always, these contain spoilers so you know what to do.

1. ReVolution 203 started out with a massive bang. After coming off the biggest win of his PRIME career, Jason Snow gloated like the true bastard that he is, rubbing the victory over Kaiser Vashaun in the face of every fan in attendance. His night was spoiled however, as the Wolves of Slaughter came out and made like Kazys Jankauskas was going to cash in his Universal Championship shot. A perfect scenario considering Snow was on crutches. Unfortunately, for the Anaheim crowd, Elise Ares broke the news that the Wolves had sold the Universal Championship shot. The question is obvious, who do you believe would buy the Universal Title shot, and for that matter who would have the money to do so?

I love the selling of the title shot, especially if it's legit, and Kat is actually giving the title shot up in an IC way so that she can focus on the tag straps and the tag division with Billy. That would be awesome for the division and a truly classy, and unselfish, move on her part. This could be played so beautifully do to the amount of enemies that Snow has that I imagine he'll be going nuts trying to figure out who bought the shot. If Hessian turns out to be the guy with it...WOW.

2. Hessian had inarguably the busiest night of anybody on the PRIME roster. He showed his gratitude toward Tyler Nelson for giving him a shot at the Elite Championship, had a confrontation with Brandon Pierce, came out to cut a promo and was given a reading of The Raven, got into a war with Troy Douglas, managed to pick up the victory, and get arrested in suspicion of a murder. This all happened in one night. First, how do you think getting arrested is going to look in terms of Hessian telling Lisa Tyler that he expects to be treated like the best of the PTC? Second, who in their right mind is going to stalk Hessian considering the massive roll he's been on lately?

I think being arrested is only going to make Tyler need to treat him as the best even more. He's going to be super pissed off about being arrested and then you factor in the stalking and the giant is going to be one dude you don't want to be pissing off if you can avoid it.

I don't know who the stalking is going to turn out to be, I'm sure there are tons of people, but I wouldn't be shocked if it's Chainz. They're both monsters and this would allow for Chainz to decide whose the biggest and baddest of all. Although the sneaking around to stalk him doesn't seem quite like the thing Chainz would do. He seems more like an in your face kind of guy.

3. Tyler Nelson had a rather positive evening in hindsight. He now realizes Hessian is indebted to him and Chainz will follow The Murder Show considering their alliance. That's two powerful big men for the army. The Greediest Player in the Game also has a very intriguing offer from one Chandler Tsonda, who wants to join the party. Even though he lost to Tony Gamble, Nelson has to consider ReVolution 203 a winning night. With the superstars slowly turning against Lisa Tyler, how long will it be before she has to consider Nelson a legitimate threat to her position?

It's a winning night for sure. It goes without saying. Winning the matches was never the big picture for Tyler Nelson. It's what he can gain outside of the ring that really turns his gears. What he got in terms of people wanting to help him in his fight with Lisa absolutely was more important to him than any wrestling match or title. If she doesn't consider him a legitimate threat to her position then she's not being honest with herself. Nelson always has been, and always will be, dangerous.

4. Chainz continued to display dominance by coming out with a victory over Brandon Pierce and extending his winning streak to eight victories. En route to defeating Pierce, the Monster from Hell's Kitchen got into a pretty heated arguing match backstage with The Symphony of Destruction, not backing down from anything Pierce said or did. Looking at the roster now, who is going to come out of the woodwork to challenge Chainz? Considering the role he is on, is it wise for anybody to?

8 straight is mighty impressive. I don't know who is going to challenge him but I'd love to see it be Pierce. i think he could give Chainz a run for his money and could be the person to finally take the mighty man down from this great pace he's on. I wouldn't mind seeing KV do it either. Perhaps a return to the Intense division, that he owned for a while, to prove he's better than anything they've had sense would work wonders for him.

5. In something that surprised...everybody, Tony Gamble returned to action against Tyler Nelson and managed to pick up a victory. Despite all the drama leading up to the contest: Going to the doctor's office even though it was only a blister (albeit it hurt like the DICKENS~!), a back and forth with his Oompa pal and being told he couldn't wrestle anymore by The Man in Black (boooooo), Gamble held his own in the cheating and wrestling department. Is The Gamble back in PRIME or is he going to fade out after a few shows?

I would love to see Gamble back and in full force cause he could once again be a huge player in PRIME. I'd love to see him finally make it into the main events and be the man. I would pretty much mark out, as well, if he's the one who bought the title shot against Snow.

PRIME Roleplay Feed #1 Week of September 3rd

"Road to Colossus, the Conclusion: No Jekyll, all Hyde"
Chainz

This was one of the best done roleplays of this style I've seen. I love the Chainz character, I really do, and I love that he's written in such a way that there is no way you can like anything about him. I dig that the main character of the story is written in such a way that you don't have to struggle with the fact that you're supposed to hate them but you kind of like them for this reason or that. That problem is perfectly destroyed by the fact that Sloan is written in such a way where you can't possibly like anything about him. Bravo on that because it's rare and it's refreshing.

I have to echo the statement Dave made about leaving the murder scene to imagination. That was perfect considering how graphic and violent the rape scene was. It absolutely left me completely repulsed and had me wishing I could be the one to kill Sloan. That was wonderfully done and a great job of not over doing it. Great move there.

I don't really talk much about the technical briliance of writing, and all that jazz, because I'm not nearly qualified enough to comment on such things. As long as I don't have any trouble understanding the writing, and don't have to re-read sentences multiple times, then it's all good to me and this roleplay completely accomplished that.

I do, however, have a small problem. I'm mentioning it here cause this was the last roleplay I read with a situation like this but it's something that always bugs me with roleplays. Bare with me here cause I know what I'm about to talk about is probably nit picking, and all, but it bugs me all the same.I realise in this newer style of roleplaying, that being what we've done over the last few years, that it's a challenge to out think, be more creative, and more entertaining in order to win. The anty has been raised to such a degree that the characters stories often have to be way over the top.

Which I'm fine with. I have no trouble with suspending my belief and not needing a lot of reality to the pieces as long as they're well written. However there is one area where I simply think a person shouldn't cross because it affects the way the characters they interact with on the shows. What I'm talking about is the Hessian/Chainz aspect now.

I don't know if this is the intent, I can only assume it will be, that at some point the idea is for Hessian and Chainz to feud and I'd imagine it's going to happen when Hessian finds out that Chainz was the one to brutally rape and kill his ex-girlfriend who was the love of his life. Now let me say here once more I know we suspend reality to large degrees in this.

Obviously Jason Snow, in a reality based situation, would never be able to be in the mob and in PRIME and not get killed or arrested at some point. Same thing with Gamble or Deville when they were running those type of angles. Same thing when anyone runs a character whose out killing or raping or what not and never getting caught. I can suspend that reality because it's really only denying the effect it would have on their own character and their lives.

However in this sense this directly effects another character. It directly effects the way another character would react on the shows. What I'm saying here, and probably poorly describing my complaint here, is that when Hessian ultimately finds out Chainz is the one who did this there is no real payoff to a feud. There is no way for me, as a reader, to care about anything Hessian does to Chainz in a wrestling match, no matter what type or how bad, because a wrestling match, or beating him up on shows, isn't going to live up to the revenge needed in a situation like this.Anything outside of Hessian simply walking up to Sloan and killing him is going to be a major let down in terms of the payback.

Now, obviously, Hessian will not be walking up and killing Sloan for this, when he finds out, cause obviously that puts an end to Mikes character and realistically forces Ross to remove Hessian from wrestling for good cause he's going to jail for killing a man on a Revolution or PPV telecast. The point is there is absolutely no point to a feud between these two. There is no pay off. There is nothing to look forward to or get into when they eventually feud, if thats indeed the idea being set in motion with these events, but there is no way for anyone to logically explain to me why a guy would decide that the best way to get revenge on the guy who raped and killed the love of his life would be to make his wrestling career miserable and to beat him on a PPV. That's a huge let down in terms of a situation like that.

Now Mike don't get me wrong, at all, I think you're writing is brilliant. The way you went about it, the mood you set, the way you make me as a reader feel about your character in this thing is all absolutely awesome. I just don't get where this would lead to anything worthwhile, in the end, because unless the idea is for Hessian to kill Sloan, or in a sick twist for Sloan to kill Hessian when Hessian attempts to kill him, then there is no real, logical, or explainable way for something like that to go.But either way it was a brilliantly written piece and it's a shame that Billy had things come up that kept him from challenging you in this. He's a great writer as well but I do think it would have been very tough for him to overcome what you did here. Outstanding work.

2009 NFL Season Predictions

At PRIME and PTC we had this topic started about our predictions on who would win the divisions and the Superbowl this year and so I thought I'd post my predictions here on my blog as well.

AFC East
1. Patriots - I don't think this one is even close. They'll run away with this division.
2. Bills - I do believe that once Lynch returns from suspension the combo of having Evans and Owens will allow Edwards and company to pile up a lot of points and wins.
3. Dolphins - They'll take a huge step back to Earth this year. 7-9 wouldn't suprise me at all.
4. Jets - The defense will keep them in many games but the lumps that Sanchez is going to be taking is going to keep them from winning very many games.

AFC West
1. Chargers - They'll run away with an otherwise very weak division.
2. Chiefs – This very weak division will allow them to improve enough to make a run toward the playoffs, but ultimately I think they fall just short.
3. Raiders- Improved play by McFadden and Russell will equal a few more wins but not enough to be a serious playoff threat.
4. Broncos- The Bronco fans are in for a really, really, really long year after this teams new management totally screwed everything up this off-season. Whoever signed off on the idea that having Orton and Simms to battle it out at QB was better than having Cutler should be immediately fired and never allowed to be part of an NFL team again.

AFC North
1. Steelers – The defending champs will continue to defend their division but they’ll ultimately fall short when they face the Patriots.
2. Ravens – Flacco will continue to be good and will contend but won’t have quite enough to knock off the Steelers, unless the champs have a load of injuries.
3. Browns – They’ll barely beat out the Bengals in order to stay out of the basement.
4. Bengals – They’ll continue to suck. Sorry Billy.

AFC South
1. Titans – They’ll continue to win this division as the Colts will struggle with their getting used to new coaches.
2. Colts – Peyton is still there so they’ll still be tough.
3. Texans – I think they take yet another step in the right direction and they may even actually dethrone the Colts for a playoff spot with a healthy Shaub and some luck.
4. Jaguars – They’ll continue to struggle and this will likely be the end of Del Rio as the man in Jacksonville.

NFC North
1. Vikings – As long as Favre stays healthy, and plays at least average, then the Vikes should easily win this division. I think this will actually lead to AP becoming the NFL MVP this year after he goes over the 2,000 yard mark this year.
2. Bears – The addition of Cutler, alone, makes this a vastly better team than they were last year or even the year prior to that. Their defense is more healthy, from what I understand anyway, than it’s been in a while so they should be a tough out this year.
3. Packers – Switching the defensive units is not going to go as well, or as easily, as the preseason would lead people to believe. They’ll struggle but Rodgers will continue to be impressive.
4. Lions – They won’t go 0-16 again but I wouldn’t expect much more than 2-14.

NFC South
1. Panthers – With their 1-2 punch in the backfield, a solid defense, and a serviceable, although on the decline, QB this will still be the team to beat in the division, though the Falcons and Saints will really push them more so than even last year.
2. Saints – They’ll be the beneficiary of improved defensive play, an improved running game, and the fact that the Falcons will comeback to the pack a bit from where they were last year.
3. Falcons – They’ll keep it interesting and this could be a division that takes three to the playoffs, depending on what happens in the NFC East.
4. Buccs – They’re dead in the water and it won’t surprise me if they wind up with the worst record in football this year. There just isn’t much talent on this team and they’re rebuilding with a first time HC.

NFC West
1. Seahawks – Hasselback will stay healthy this year, they have an improved WR core with TJ there, and their defense should rebound. I can’t see this team staying down like it was last year and I can’t see the Cards having another miracle run.
2. Cards – I really want to go Niners here, I really do, but their up and down QB play just won’t allow me to. I’ll stick with Warner to still be good enough to keep the Niners out.
3. Niners- They should stake a step or two more in the right direction this year but QB has to be their #1 offseason priority this next year. They’re going nowhere, fast, with the likes of Hill and Smith at the reigns.
4. Rams – They will be better but not enough to make it out of the basement. Which is fitting cause that’s pretty much where they resided for almost all of the 90’s.

NFC East
1. Cowboys- Prior to the training camp and off-season I was tempted to say Philly. But the losses of Dawkins, their DC, and their starting MLB I believe are going to take a heavy toll on their defense. It’s going to be a lot harder to over come than most think. That will be one of the reasons I believe Dallas can reclaim the division. The other being that without having to tailor the offense to any one player the Cowboys are now free to spread the ball around and improve their offense scoring, while also lowering their turnover issues. Improved special teams play and the defense should improve our chances. As always it will come down to what they can do in the last part of the season.
2. Eagles – I think they’re going to have more than enough offense to be super hard to beat and even with all the loss on the defensive side of the ball they could still very easily contend for the division.
3. Giants – Their defense, which is taking a heavy injury toll thus far, is going to have to carry this team for most of the season since the offense has absolutely no one, of note, or real experience to throw to. Eli is going to struggle a lot this year and Jacobs, whose proven to be made of glass an injury prone with 2 backups taking time for him, will be hurt even more now when he’s forced to carry more of the load now that Ward is in Tampa. Bad year for the Gmen and the only thing keeping them out of the cellar of the division is that the Skins still have Jason Campbell.
4. Redskins – Jason Campbell. Pretty simply the reason they’re going nowhere. The kid wasn’t improved, as it was, and now he spent this off-season watching the Skins management do everything they could to get rid of him for someone else, including trying to get Cutler before Chicago did. He’ll struggle HUGE once more and the Skins will be at the bottom. Which doesn’t hurt my feelings in the least.

NFC Champions –
Vikings I want to say Dallas but I won’t. They haven’t proven they can do anything late in the year and until they do I simply can’t pick them to win the NFC. I’ll be rooting for it but I don’t think it happens. I’ll pick the Vikings cause like I said they don’t need Brett to play great, he just has to be as average and AP will carry them a long, long, long way.

AFC Champions –
PatriotsThe Steelers, and the AFC in general, benefited from the Pats being without Brady last year. That benefit is no longer there and no one else seems to have the offensive firepower to keep up with New England.

Superbowl Champions –
The PatriotsI know most will expect me to pick the Vikes, for sentimental reasons with Favre and they’ve never won, and I hate the Pats and all that but lets be honest. The Patriots are improved on defense and Tom Brady is back with an offense that has even MORE weapons than the 07 unit had. They’ll be nearly impossible to defeat.

They won’t go undefeated but they wont lose more than 2 or 3 games and the Superbowl won’t be one of them. The Pats win this Superbowl allowing Brady to cement his legacy as potentially the best QB ever with 4 rings in a decade, not to mention five trips to the dance in that decade, and Belicheck will cement himself as probably the best coach we’ve ever seen winning 4 Superbowls in the decade, taking his team to 5 championships, and then he’ll walk away from the game with everything he’ll ever need. Now this is where it gets great for the rest of the league.

All you stinking New England fans will get to yuck it up and be proud for one more year and one more Superbowl but this is where your demise begins. With Bill retiring after this win your stinking franchise will be on a downward spiral right back to where they belong. You’ll be bragging 20 years from now about how you had this decade and owned it but that’s all you’ll be enjoying for the next 20 years after this. Some of that rant may, or may not, be what I actually think will happen but it was fun to say it none the less.

PRIME PPV FEEDBACK!!!!

Night 1

1. Meat announced on ReVolution 202 that it would be the final time we saw him in the wrestling ring. His manager, Claire Saunders, came out before the opening contest started and christened him a new man with a new name, the Symphony of Destruction, Brandon Pierce. He took on Troy Douglas, but Megatron managed to barely come out the victor. On Night 2, Douglas claimed he was now 100 percent and vowed that he would be nobody's doormat. Is the gimmick of Brandon Pierce capable of being successful in PRIME? Will The Symphony of Destruction be able to crack whatever glass ceiling Meat couldn't? Is Troy Douglas really back and can he get back to the form he once was, or even better?

I personally love the change from Meat to Pierce. Frankly I thought Ross was selling himself way short with playing the character under such a stupid name. No offense Ross, you're my boy, but this is a brilliant change. You'll move forward from here for sure.

With Douglas I really can't say. I honestly don't know a whole lot about him and I haven't been around or active in PRIME at the times that he's really been super active to show off what he's got. I'm hoping he can get back to 100% so I can see if he can live up to what everyone else believes he's capable of.

2. The Redeemed shelled out a hype video and declared they would be the team to walk out with the Tag Team Championships. Wicked Ways and Wolves of Slaughter had differing opinions and the trio of duos hooked up in a wild contest that saw a plethora of saves and near falls. At one point, both members of Wolves of Slaughter attempted to screw their rivals when they were both the legal people in the ring, but that attempt failed. In the end, Kazys and Elise continued their dominance in PRIME by claiming the tag gold. The next night, Elise tried to hijack and modify the Main Event to include the Wolves but was rejected by The Boss. Can The Redeemed or Wicked Ways get their hands on the gold or do the Wolves have an iron grip on the tag division? Do Elise and Kazys even stay in the tag division or will they venture into singles endeavors?

This is a VERY interesting situation. So let me just go through this thing in order here. HUGE win for the Wolves and I think they're one intimidating team that could be quite dominate. Billy and Kat together on one team is just a powerhouse of talent that will be hard to knock off. I'm hoping to see them give it 100% in the tag division and see how far they can go with it.

That said I wouldn't be shocked if they wind up venturing into singles roles sooner rather than later. They're both so talented, and have already banked shots at singles glory, that I could easily see them going after that. Tag team divisions, after all, are always, unfortunately if you ask me, having to transition because nobody ever seems to want to stay in them. I know from my own personal experience here I had the most fun ever, in this entire hobby, when i was in the tag division as Los Diablos. We had it rocking with a bunch of teams and looking great and then all the sudden, after a PPV, I'm looking around and a division that was once 8 or 9 teams was down to 3 or 4 in the blink of an eye. It was heartbreaking and crushed me. So all that said I'd LOVE for Billy and Kat to stick it out in the tag division as their main goal.

Now finally the whole thing of trying to push their way into the main event. Honestly that was awesome. If that had went down, and they had some how won, that would have been flat out amazing. They'd have the Tag Titles, the 5-Star title, and the Universal title in their control and that would have been one impressive PPV showing. I liked that it was at least thrown out there on the card, but like I said above, ultimately I'd hope that Billy and Kat concentrate on being the best tag team this federation has ever seen and on helping to build this place another high quality, competitive, division.

3. The Elite Championship match definitely had some entertaining personalities and none of them disappointed at Colossus. Desade brought along Aimz and an entire army of followers. Wyatt Connors brought some friends. Hessian brought along...his giant beard. While never fully trusting one another, Desade and Connors seemed hellbent on eliminating Hessian from the match due to his massive size advantage. Ultimately, the ending was one of the wildest melees seen in recent memory, with Connors and Desade's followers crashing the party all at the same time. The Murder Show was the one who ended up sneaking away with the belt, proving that you can't ignore the (really really really) big elephant in the room under any circumstances. Does Wyatt Connors deserve a rematch after taking the Elite Championship to new heights? How do you feel Hessian's reign as Champion will go? Will SCCW come back for more?

MUCHO congrats to Hessian on one of the more impressive wins you'll see anywhere in PTC. The fact that he beat Connors and Desade is just mind blowing. That's two extremely tough draws if you're facing either of them one on one but to be facing both at once? WOW. Super impressive. Ross might have turned in the biggest turn around and return since he cameback. He's a million times tougher than when I last remember him being in PRIME. Just a fantastic outing. Big props to him.

I don't think PRIME will have seen the last of SCCW by any stretch. There is no way that Joe is going to take this defeat lying down and I'd imagine we'll see them back at some point to try and get some retribution. Anything that will get Connors more time on PTC related events, shows, and everything outside of just SCCW is a big plus to me. That guy is fantastic.

4. Despite what people may think of him, Chandler Tsonda is a fierce competitor. He finally clashed with Wade Elliott in what was perhaps the most perplexing match on the card. Tsonda dominated the match from start to finish after making a pretty wild entrance (Dude came out on a hoverboard, straight up ballin, dawg). He had The Bad Dog all but ready to submit when word came from Lisa Tyler that a submission could no longer win the match. Tsonda then had Elliott ready to pin before Lisa Tyler again stepped in, declaring the pinfall ineligible to win the match. Finally, Tsonda had to choose between knocking Elliott out or getting him counted out. Tsonda chose the former and walked away the winner. Later, he threw some snide remarks at Lisa Tyler during his Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Where does Chandler Tsonda go from here? Does he look for another crack at Jason Snow or does he seek out someone else?

Ok this might be the first part of my feedback that will make anyone frown or upset people, and please it's not intended to piss anyone off, it's just how I feel.

First let me say that Tsonda winning is a big win for him. Elliot was right on the cusp of being a main event superstar and now it seems like maybe he's faded out a bit. That's a shame cause he's a quality character that I thought was really improving and moving forward with the heel turn. So big win for Will in this match up.

The hall of fame thing is where I'll likely upset a few people. I hate it. Just HATE IT. Now I don't hate it because I don't think Will should be in. He should be, he's a Hall of Fame guy, for sure but at the right time. I absolutely loath it when people are inducted into the Hall of Fame before they've retired the character. I just hate that. The story of his career isn't finished so why put him in yet? They don't put football players, or baseball players, or anyone in the Hall before they're done, why do it here? I know we're not on the same time frame of time, in terms of making a hall of fame career, in efeds but we should still wait till they're done with that character, entirely, to put them in. That's just my thoughts on it though. Big congrats to Will, none the less, on being selected into it. That's a huge honor.

5. Even though there was a tremendous amount of activity on Night 1, everybody knew that the swan song of Killean Sirrajin would be the headline attraction. His bout with Tyler Nelson had been one of the marquee matches anticipated ever since The Greediest Player in the Game wrecked Sirrajin's retirement ceremony many ReVolutions ago. Before the match, Nelson demanded that Lisa Tyler step down from her position and hand him the reigns of PRIME. The Boss didn't accept that proposal, opting instead to offer Nelson a standard wrestling contract if he defeated The Supreme Machine. Through hoodwink and kicking out of a Supreme Justice, Nelson did what nobody believed he would do and came out the victor, thereby increasing his role on the PRIME roster. Sirrajin capped off the evening with an emotional goodbye and said he would visit every once in a while. Give a few thoughts on the career of Sirrajin from what you know. Also, where will Tyler Nelson end up? He's still stuck in the power struggle with BLT but now he's a wrestler who is going to have to compete whenever summoned. That's not exactly his forte.

First off will this really be the end of Killean? I know D has toyed with the idea of shelving him for good on otehr occassions so I'm wondering if he'll really shelve him for good this time. I'm actually hoping he doesn't as I love the character and I think D's at his best with him. Unless of course this ushers in the return of Raymes. Then I might be happier.

That said D has done it all with Killean. Killean is the face of PRIME's history. D's had him here for so long that PRIME and Killean just go hand in hand. They're like peanut butter and jelly. It was a great way to go out though and in typical D fashion worked out in the most classy way possible, putting someone else over on his way out. That's how it should be done folks.

As for Nelson I'm PUMPED TO THE MAX that Rob has returned him to a full time wrestling role. This is one of my all time favorite characters, one of the absolute best heels in the game, and it's just so much fun to watch this guy use Tyler on shows. I'm smiling ear to ear right now as I type this thinking about how great it's going to be to see Nelson on PRIME shows scheming and plotting and such as much as possible. Awesome deal for PRIME.

Night 2

1. Nova and Sonny Silver came and rocked the motherfucking house with their entrances. They haven't been full time wrestlers in quite a while but that doesn't mean they've forgotten how to entertain the masses. They also got an unforeseen present when Garbage Bag Johnny was assisted out to the ring by Hessian in a wheelbarrow, effectively turning the opening contest of Night 2 into a handicap match. Considering how it went down though, it might have been a handicap match for Hessian, who dominated the PRIME Hall of Famers. He got a clutch assist from GBJ, who woke from his stupor and clocked Nova with his bottle of booze. Hessian walks away from Colossus with two victories. If there was a power ranking system for PRIME, where would you put The Murder Show right now? And just so we can give some love to the legends, how hard did you laugh when Nova misspelled penis?

It was great to see Silver and Nova on the show. I wish those two would comeback to PRIME for more than spot appearances or one off deals. They're quality and always entertaining. I loved the entrances. Brilliant stuff.

The match was great, without a doubt, and the win for Hessian and GBJ, mostly Hessian, is just HUGE. Is there a more scary guy in all of PTC, let alone PRIME, right now than Hessian? Outside of Jason Snow or Aimz over at SCCW I don't know that you could find anyone as dominate as Ross has been as of late. Just look at the list of names he's knocking off on his way to becoming one of the most reconized and feared names in PRIME and it will really give you reason to worry if you've got to face him. An Elite title win and a tag team victory over Nova and Silver. Wow. Silver, Nova, Desade, and Connors are added to the list of people he's gone through as of late. It doesn't get much more impressive than that.

2. David Noble had been surrounded by controversy ever since his suicide attempt was publicized. Lisa Tyler held a conversation with The Rising Star but Noble refused to divulge any details, deciding to focus his attention on capturing the Intense Championship. The champion, Jonathan Rhine, elected for a quiet build up and came into the match hoping to retain. Chainz rolled into the Pay-Per-View with a six match win streak, looking to cap off an incredible arc by capturing his first ever PRIME gold. The Monster from Hell's Kitchen achieved his desire (Well, maybe not, considering he didn't get to bag Lisa Tyler later in the evening, but that is another story) and is now a champion. His win streak is now at lucky seven. Can Chainz live up to the expectations of previous title holders and show strength in the Intense division? How long do you think he can hold onto the win streak? Will David Noble be able to recover from this loss and move forward despite the cloud hanging over his head?

This win for Mike is only shocking in one regard...how the heck was this the first time this guy has held gold here? I'm shocked by that. Impressive win for Mike. Chainz is tailor made for this division and with the sick mind that Mike seems to be able to display, through Chainz, I could see the violence and intensity of the division really picking up during his reign. We should see some things we've never seen before now that he's the man holding up the gold. The only regret on this is that Nate didn't work out the arc, or show up for the match properly, to put the new champion over. I know he left, and was part of SCCW now, but it would have only been right for him to do that. I can't harp on him too much for that though cause I've been on the other end of that where I didn't put anyone over properly when leaving. From that experience I know it's not the right way to do it though.

3. Arguably the most personal match on Colossus was Jay Phoenix and Jason Natas. These two had a rivalry ever since January of this year and Colossus was the blow off show to end it all. To make the match even juicier, Natas made the contest a Loser Leaves PRIME match, which Phoenix reluctantly accepted atop the I Quit stipulation. They brawled back and forth with Natas almost always one step ahead of The Eternal Flame. The match ended in controversial fashion when Natas threatened Phoenix's boyfriend and made Phoenix quit, thereby ending his career in PRIME. After the match, Phoenix screamed that it wasn't supposed to end in this fashion. Is this really the end of Jay Phoenix? He has constantly threatened to quit and is now, technically, out of a job. What motive would Lisa Tyler have for rehiring him (if she does) considering he's been somewhat of a thorn in her side?

This was a great match up. The emotion was all there. The ending was brilliant, given the feud and the story. I'm confused on this being the end for Jay though. I can't imagine this is actually how Jay is going to go out in PRIME and, really, unless they're going for the shock factor of the hero losing out in the end, in such an emotional way, and never returning to even the score I can't see this actually being the end. I'd imagine at some point soon enough we'll see the return of Jay in PRIME, it almost has to happen given the way that Natas chose to win the match up.

4. Mind games are sometimes lost in the grand spectacle of the wrestling industry. Seldom do they carry a feud from the start until the bitter end. In the case of Devin Shakur vs Bryan Dawkins, psychology was the only fuel driving them forward to Colossus. Shakur wanted to put the young buck out of his misery. Dawkins wanted to prove that he belonged with the big boys and strike a blow for those who have been slighted by The Man in Black. Both men used the cage and ended up bleeding like stuck pigs all over the ring. In the end, Shakur used every dirty tactic in the book (A planted fan, a smuggled pipe and Christian Daniels posing as a cameraman) to defeat The Flyin Hawaiian. Shakur put his own diabolical stamp on the feud by planting Dawkins in the center of the ring with a purposely botched tombstone piledriver, leaving The Bruh motionless on the canvas and escorted from the building on a stretcher. Who will step up and challenge Shakur next? For that matter, who wants to? Can Bryan Dawkins recover from his injury and continue on in PRIME at such a high level?

A couple of things really struck me about this match. First I enjoyed it and it is probably my favorite match type. I'm a sucker for a good plain old cage match. I loved the under handed tactics and all the stuff that Shakur did to pull out the win but given that Chris is taking over PRIME now I honestly thought he'd be putting Dawkins over in this match up. I can't imagine he'll be actually actively handling in a full time capacity and certainly not in one that would allow him to main event or anything. I think putting over Dawkins would have really helped PRIME in that regard. Now it could be that Dawkins is leaving for a while, due to this injury ending, and I wouldn't know about that so that would obviously change my opinion on this. But outside of that I just think it would have been a better transition for Chris and PRIME to simply have Dawkins get that huge win.

5. It was the match that garnered the most buzz ever since its announcement. The top two championships in PRIME were on the line in a single match as Universal Champion Jason Snow took on 5 Star Champion Kaiser Vashaun. Only one man would walk away with both belts and become the most dominant person on the PRIME roster. The Original Villain came into the night with an eerie focus, throwing his massive ego by the wayside. Kaiser Vashaun entered the ring from the crowd at the last minute, speculation concluding that he might not make it to the event. Both men left everything in the ring and then some, providing Colossus with a classic ending. Once the smoke had cleared, Jason Snow and Snake Eyes stood atop the PRIME mountain, a double Champion. The man. Can you see Snow actively defending both belts? Who on the roster can actually stop him? Can anybody? Does Kaiser Vashaun deserve another crack at either belt?

This was by far the best match of the two nights and as well it should have been. It lived up to every ounce of hype, it lived up to every prediction, talk, roleplay, seg, everything that had been done leading up to it. It was a fitting main event for the biggest PPV of the PRIME year and it might well be one of the top two main events in this PPV's history. This was HUGE. Absolutely HUGE.

Big time congrats to Dave for pulling off the win in this. Matt has always, and will always, be a tough out and for Dave to get it on the biggest Main Event of all is super impressive. I'm hoping we'll see Dave really run with the ball on this dual title thing. I'd love to see him show Snow just as obsessed with keeping the 5-Star title, and being the best in that division, as he is with the Universal. This should be a very interesting arc coming up with him holding two belts that have so many big time challengers for it. I'm looking forward to it.

With Matt you never know where he goes from here. I certainly could see him getting a rematch. You couldn't really argue against the merit of him having one. I could also see him taking this in an entirely different direction and focusing on something else. It should be interesting no matter which way he goes.

Best Wrestlers of Colossus

1. Hessian - It would be easy to put Dave here with Snow, given that he beat Matt in the main event for the biggest prize, but I've got to go with Hessian because of the volume of what he did. He won the PTC Elite Championship, he took out 4 top notch handlers on the two nights. That's about as dominate as guy could get. He has to be #1 with what he did over the course of two nights.
2. Jason Snow - HUGE win over Kaiser. That was absolutely HUGE. Snow seems all but unbeatable at this point. Could we possibly see the Elite Champion step up as the next contender to Snow's throne?
3. Wolves of Slaughter - A huge Tag Team Championship pick up and the guts to try and put themselves into the main event of the whole show puts them in the spotlight for me.

Best Line of Colossus: The Penus line by Nova. It wins going away.

Best Entrance of Colossus: I'm going to have to go with Tsonda. I just thought that was pretty cool the way he came out.

Best Matches of Colossus:
1. Title for Title main event
2. Elite Championship
3. Jay vs. Natas

Overall Thoughts?

Brilliant show. This was so well done from start to finish. I really am starting to love the two day thing they do with this one and Culture Shock. This show as none stop action, emotion, and great match writing from the opening bell of night one to the last call of night two. The only real downer was the lack of segment work on night one. I thought some of the night two people could have really set up, and hyped, night two a bit with some night one work but even that's not a huge problem. PPV's probably shouldn't be filled with loads of segments anyway.

This was the perfect way to end the reign of Lindz as the fedhead here and go right into Chris taking over. Lindz went out with a bang this way and I'm glad to see that. I'm looking forward to the transition and to see what new talent might come into, or return to, PRIME with all this. PRIME is really cooking now and is doing everything in their power to make the case for being the #1 federation in PTC.

Vick Signs w/Eagles

Tonight it was announced that the Philadelphia Eagles have signed Michael Vick to a two year deal.

Now being a Cowboy fan I find that it's my duty to laugh at anything the Eagles do and this one is just one of those things that makes it very easy to laugh at them. Let me get this out there first off. I know it's the in thing, or the cool thing, for people to just assume that as a Cowboys fan when I say I hate the Eagles that I won't give them respect for anything. This isn't true. I do respect their organization because it is a well run team and they've had a list of players who I thought, or do think, are fantastic players. I give them the credit they're due but they are the team I hate more than any team in any sport.

Which is only natural cause they're a rival of my Cowboys. With that out of the way I'll say that I knew all along, as anyone who follows football did, that someone was eventually going to give Vick a shot. You knew it had to happen because while I don't think he's a very good QB, in fact I think as far as being a QB goes he's absolutely terrible, but the guy is an athlete. He can do things that you just can't coach or teach and someone was going to give him that shot.

I was suprised to see it being the Eagles. This is a franchise that has never struck me as the type to really deal with this type of distraction. They've never been the franchise to put players with any type of serious off the field issues on their team. Heck if someone had asked me the Eagles would have been one of the teams on my short list of teams that I would have said there was 0 shot that they'd sign Vick.

So color me a bit surprised. But if you look at it closely, despite the fact that I don't believe McNabb is going to like this move at all, though he'll likely say all the right things to the media and such, it makes some sense. Their backup QB, who really is unproven anyway at this point, is hurt and maybe hurt all year long. They needed a veteran that they could put in there with McNabb and Vick is probably as good as any other option out there right now.

They will no doubt allow him to do some things even though he wont start. He'll likely come in and run some wild cat for them, and maybe line up a bit at WR and such. They'll find a way to use this guys athletic ability.

Now that of course all depends on rather or not the Commish is even going to completely allow him back into the league this year. They could still suspend him for some games at the end of pre-season, so who knows how that is going to go.

With all that said I'll give you my thoughts on Vick in general. I think what he did was disgusting like pretty much everyone else. But I'll grant it that he paid his dues, in the legal system, and if the league allows him to play I will have no bones with that. I said all along if they allowed him to play i wouldnt be bothered by it and if they kept him out for a year, or longer, with a league suspension I wouldn't be upset about it either.

Whatever route they went with I'd be fine with. The guy did his time and if he gets his shot then good for him. I have no issue with it. However with that shot comes all the other stuff. There is going to be the jokes, the signs, the mocking, all that stuff that goes with Vick being back in the spotlight. So I really couldn't care less if Vick, his friends, his family, his fans, fans in general, or whatever are butt hurt over the fact that people bad mouth him, mock him, laugh at him, whatever.

Don't like that? Tough. It's life. The guy is an idiot, a grade A idiot, and he screwed up in a way that is going to follow him for the rest of his life. Don't think that's fair? Well then he shouldn't have been an idiot and got himself into that business then.

Now some will cry and say "well he grew up around it. He didn't know any better. Cut him some slack." To that I'll say bull. I don't care if he grew up around it. So what? That makes it ok to break the laugh and be an idiot? Sorry but that defense won't fly for me.

Or for the hunters and country boys out there, and an ironic twist with Vick, 'that dog won't hunt."

Vick deserves everything he gets from people because he brought it on himself. I don't feel sorry for him and there is no excuse out there that will make me feel sorry for him. These people know it's wrong to do this stuff, and it's illegal, otherwise they wouldn't be trying to do it in secret. So frankly there simply is no defense of someone knowing something is wrong, and stupid, and illegal and still doing it.

That said I don't think Vick is the worst person on earth and certainly not the worst person in the NFL. If Leonard Little can drink and drive, and kill someone, and then after a half year suspension come back into the league, and later get another drunk driving arrest, then Vick can certainly still play in the NFL.

If Dante Stalworth is allowed back into the NFL next season after driving drunk and killing a man then yes Michael Vick can absolutely still be allowed to play football. I find the fact that Dante and Little ever being allowed to play in the NFL disgusting. I find it disgusting that either of them are even walking around free instead of in jail. But I can't control that sort of thing. I don't like it, it shouldn't be allowed, but I wasn't the one making those decisions.

With all that said I'll say good luck to Vick. Keep yourself out of trouble and enjoy your time left in the league. Try not to be a giant moron and forget what a priveledge and honor you have here in playing in the NFL. I'll also say that this will make hating on the Eagles, and their faithful, that much more fun this season.

It's time for the NFL again and I couldn't be more happy. This news only amped up the fun for the season, in my eyes.

SOS3

Today I'm finally getting around, after a busy schedule (and being a little lazy I'll admit) to review the latest SCCW show. I had been looking forward to this show mainly for the Dome of Doom match that main evented this show. I'll get to that when I get to the main event but for now lets get underway and start at the beginning.

Opening- I enjoyed the opening. It set the show up, as the opening should, and i'm a big fan of the duo at the announce table. Gibson is a great former character to use as a play-by-play guy and the Eugene Ware character is just a hilarious heel color commentator. Probably the best one in PTC at this point.

Men On Wrestling- This segment was ok and had some funny lines but I didn't think it was overly funny and sometimes came off as somewhat lame and kind of forced.

Indebted To The Fear- I like the way that these two characters were able to take a poor situation, for them as wrestlers, and use it to gain something for themselves in the near future. Using the agreeing to referee later in the show in order to get their hands on a Strength In Numbers championship match was a brilliant idea. I like that.

Grudge Match- (Malloy vs. Searle) This was a great way to open the matches of the show. It was so well written, flowed really well, and had me interested from start to finish.

Also it was the first place I've seen the AT&T replay thing used and I'm going to say right now that I'm a HUGE FAN of this. I love the replay move. I love the very real, tv show, feel that it gives the results. I love the addition of this. That's awesome.

Great match up. Big props to Malloy for the W here.

One Step Ahead but Four Steps Behind- I'm not sure I really get the point of this segment, to be honest. I can't imagine why anyone, even if the character is designed to be nothing more than a jobber, who'd actually say they don't want to win. This whole segment just seemed like it was thrown together just to have something on the show.

The Super Secret Plan- I absolutely LOVED this segment. Loved it. So well done and anything that has Lane Stevens in it makes it immediately one of the most awesome things you'll ever see on a wrestling show.

I love the way that Nackedy came out and pretended he wanted to join Dead Mans Hand and he was going to try and screw it all up from with in. You get Lane out there throwing out classic lines like this one...

"Lane Stevens: I dunno, you seem so goddamn proud of yourself…figured you wanted to tell someone. I’m a good listener."

Then, to top that all off, you get one of the best returns EVER. Rhine returns to SCCW! Are you kidding me? I love this character and I had no idea that Nate was taking him back to SCCW. That was one of the best mark out moments of any card I've read over the last year, which admitedly isn't a whole lot of them, but this was big. Loved it. Hits the Rhine Rewind on Lane and everything. Loved it.

Taking the Carpool Lane to Crazytown- Great segment that has my second favorite heel in all of PTC, right now, in Wyatt Connors. I love the negoation at the beginning and then the back and forth between him and Sykes is hilarious. I particularly how Sykes calls him Jay Draven. That actually did make me laugh out loud.

Burn it To The Ground- Short, effective, segment. There isn't anything special, or bad, about this segment. It served its purpose.

Four Corners Strap Match- Ok match up. I figured there would be a bit more to this match, especially with the gimmick, but it was ok. It flowed well. I thought it was a bit short but it was nice to see Bridden win, despite his earlier segment saying he didn't even want to win. Interesting to see him win despite that attitude.

The Jungle Cats...etc (Way to long to type out)- Uhh....ok. I'm not really sure what this segment is going to lead to but it's very, very, very, strange.

Dangerous- Once again Ben delievers when it comes to segment work. I love the way he's playing the lackey and I love how he does all this work and often doesn't even know what he's going to do, from moment to moment, until he actually does it.

I loved the dialogue between them all and I kind of like the potential of Bridden in the group. I also love the way he's going with Jeb, to this point, cause he's handling him just the way i envision right now for the role we came up with Jeb for Lane and SCCW. I love my Stewart character and I love the way Ben's got it going right now.

My only complaint here is the lack of communication between Ben and Nate about the earlier segment cause it kept Ben from selling the fact that Rhine kicked his ass earlier. Generally this would be sold, and sold perfectly, by Ben. Didn't happen this time.

The 2009 Reunion Tour- Interesting segment between Sykes and Desade. It's got an weird feel to it, in that they seem very eerily comfortable with eachother. I like the little fact that there is a history eluded to here and I find it interesting that they're pretty cordial. I'm interested in seeing how much more this continues to build over time.

Pear Pressure....Or Is It?- Is this supposed to say Peer pressure? That's my first thought as I read this segment title. Then I realised I'm an idiot. lol

Very funny segment. I enjoyed it.

Last Man Standing- What a fantasically done match up. Great pacing, kept me guessing all the way through, had an awesome ending, and I've got to say big time congrats to Ben on a hard fought victory. Awesome work. I loved this match up. Best of the show, thus far, easily.

An Update on Jay Draven- Good return to the show for Draven. It's a solid segment and pretty well done in-ring promo. I don't think you need much more from this here as it gives Draven just what he needs in a return.

If We Need To Show the Passage of Time- Meh. It was there. That's really about all I can say about this one.

Jungle Cats thing again- LOL. I don't know why but something about this very random, silly, stuff is already making me smile. I like how they couldn't get through the 'defenses' and had to retreat.

Just One Of The Guys- It was ok. Nothing special but it works well for the characters I suppose. They got what they wanted out of it I'm guessing.

The Elite Title Match- Awesome match up that was extremely well written. I love that Connors has retained, again, and is holding that title on lockdown at this point. Awesome work by Connors and Sykes, congrats to Connors on a very well deserved victory.

Calm Before The Storm- Good to see Lance Marshall make an appearance on this big show finally. Alright segment. Nothing big here. But it works.

Approval- I dont know if there is stuff I've missed prior to this but i don't really understand the point of this segment.

Well Wishes- Perfect job by Ben of selling the earlier match here. This is what I was mentioning earlier. I like the stuff here between Marshall and Stevens. It works great and I could see an awesome feud between these two in the very near future. This segment also has, by far, the line of the night for me and of course it had to come from Lane Stevens. Just amazing what Ben does with this guy.

"Woah there buddy! I just came here to wish you good luck, and you’re talking about snapping necks and…all kinds of crazy crap."

I absolutely loved that line, especially given what Marshall had just said. Great job by these two. Probably my favorite segment of the whole night.

The Dome of Doom- This is the match up I have been waiting for. This is the thing I was most looking forward to when I heard about this card and I'll say this right now...LOVED IT.

This match up lived to absolutely every bit of hype, and wait, I had in waiting on this match up. I loved the concept, I loved how it allowed so many stories to play out, begin, continue, and everything was just great. I loved how this allowed for Spacely to get over in a MAJOR WAY.

Big time props to Joe for using the first loss of Desade, by pinfall or submission, to really help get another character over in a major way. I would imagine not many saw Spacely being the one to get this win which only makes it that much better. I loved that.

HUGE pin for Marshall in this match up. Getting the pinfall on Aimz, winning her half of the tag titles, and putting together an unholy union with Desade is just brilliant. I love the direction that this will have to take with these two absolutely hating one another and how it will play out in the Desade/Aimz partnership. That should be interesting as hell.

Finally what a HUGE win for Katie. 1 year as champion, in any fed, is absolutely outstanding. In one that is as well known, competitive, and deep as this one just speaks even more about how hard she's worked to continue to be the champion and prove it's not a fluke. Congrats on a huge win, a huge run, and just amazing work.

Overall Thoughts-

1. Great overall show. I enjoyed it top to bottom. There was plenty of great stuff on this show and SCCW has, easily, 2 of the top 3 best heels in all of PTC with Connors and Stevens. Stevens being the best and Connors possibly being the second best, only Snow could possibly take that from him, so that's amazing for a fed.

2. Where the hell was Aimz in the lead up to the main event? That was one BIG missing piece. This was a huge night, a huge match, and had a lot of meaning. T here should have been some Aimz, throughout the show, hyping the fact that if she won she would be champion for a year. The ball was dropped here in not getting that done.

3. Lane Stevens is by far my favorite character in any fed, anywhere, hands down. This show showed over and over why he's one of the best ever.

4. Big time night for Spacely by becoming the Gateway Champion.

5. Shame that Sean didn't show up for this big time show. It would have been nice to see some stuff from Kennedy.

Overall I'd give this show an 8.5 or 9 out of 10 pretty easily. Very well done from top to bottom and I absolutely loved, as I mentioned earlier, the highlight replays during matches. All feds should start doing this cause it gives the shows a very, very, real feel. I love that.
